EVENT DESCRIPTION

From 25 April the Iris Garden, the floral oasis beneath Piazzale Michelangelo in Florence, reopens its doors. The park will be open every day (holidays included) from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. until 20 May, for almost a month of free visits to this special place in the heart of Florence.

The Iris Garden at Piazzale Michelangelo was created in 1954 and its surface area is about two and a half hectares, overlooking the panorama offered by the city of Florence. In order to appreciate the permanent exhibition of the Irises even more, the Garden is subdivided by pathways, pietra serena pavements, squares, steps and stairways around the perimeter, thus dividing it into zones that accommodate the different varieties.
