THE MUGELLO INTERNATIONAL AUTODROME

It's June, the engines are warming up. The asphalt is blurred on the horizon, the air electrified and alive, the adrenaline flows among the thousands of people celebrating. This is the magic of the annual appointment at the Mugello International Autodrome with MotoGP and its aficionados. The world-famous Mugello Circuit is an unmissable stop for motoring enthusiasts.



TYPICAL DISHES OF MUGELLO 

Definitely unforgettable, the Mugello valley means great food. Of substance, genuineness and quality, the typical Mugello dishes are many and renowned. the most delicious and famous is the “tortelli di patate”, made with beef, duck, rabbit, wild boar or mushroom sauce, accompanied with red wines. THE ART OF MUGELLO

We are in a valley with villages, medieval castles, rivers, lakes, sacred buildings. The most important are the Pieve di Sant'Agata which stands in the homonymous village, the Museum of Sacred Art "Beato Angelico" located at Vicchio aimed to protect and preserve the religious art of the Vicchio and Mugello territory. Here you find artworks such as the terracotta statue of "San Giovanni Battista", a "Madonna with child" and a panel depicting the "Virgin with Saints and Prophets". 

What about a different route? The Giotto’s house
, located at Vespignano, Vicchio area, offers to visitors a blend of emotions concerning Giotto's life and his experiences as a painter and architect, while on the upper floor travelers can admire exhibitions and art workshops.

BILANCINO LAKE

The largest artificial lake in Tuscany, Lago del Bilancino, with a surface area of five square kilometres, increases the water supply of Florence, Prato and Pistoia. Located within the municipal area of Barberino di Mugello, the lake is at the center of an area of significant landscape and architectural value and allows the carrying out of numerous H2O activities: swimming, canoeing, kayaking, sailing, windsurfing! Lake Bilancino is a true salvation for the Florentine area in the summer months, offering the closest thing to the beach and its atmosphere.
