UNMISSABLE EVENTS THIS FEBRUARY
Carnival Parade – Center of Florence
Prepare your costume and confetti, Stenterello (the Florentine mask) is waiting for you! The Carnival Parade returns to Florence on Sunday 9 February 2025. Musical shows, jugglers, allegorical masks, children's face painting and much more. It will begin in Piazza Santa Maria Novella at 3pm and end in Piazza della Signoria at 7pm, passing through the streets of the historic center with all the typical masks of Italy.
Taste 2025 – Fortezza da Basso
From 8 to 10 February there will be the new edition of Taste, Pitti Immagine's fair on high-quality food. Three days dedicated to the excellence of taste and food lifestyle. The fair has specific opening hours for the general public: Saturday and Sunday from 2.30pm to 6.30pm.
Chianti Classico Collection 2025 - Stazione Leopolda
The Chianti Classico Collection 2025 is ready to present the new vintages of the renowned Gallo Nero wines together with their prestigious producers. Next February 18th will be the day open to the public. A unique opportunity to meet over 200 producers and taste over 700 labels.
Rigoletto – Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino
From 16 to 23 February, the masterpiece of Verdi returns to the Teatro del Maggio, directed by Davide Livermore and maestro Stefano Ranzani. In April 1850 Giuseppe Verdi signed a contract with the Teatro La Fenice in Venice for a new opera. The subject that the composer proposed to the librettist Francesco Maria Piave was Le Roi s'amuse, the historical drama by Victor Hugo performed at the Comédie-Française in 1832 and censored for having portrayed the monarchy in its worst vices.
