It’s the perfect moment to reaffirm that the beauty of Florence must be protected! It’s crucial that all those who come from all over the world to see Florence, and who love the city dearly, should feel the need to protect its heritage as if it were their own. Because Florence is alive!
Its residents, traditions, tastes, spaces, gardens and all of its priceless art come together every day to offer an unforgettable experience; in return we need your help! How? Together we can do it, following only a few simple guidelines, for the benefit of us all. So, that’s enough chat! Now it’s time to #EnjoyRespectFirenze: we’re counting on you!

A truly characteristic event for the city, in which the teams of the four historic districts face each other in the famous arena in Piazza Santa Croce: the Whites of Santo Spirito, the Reds of Santa Maria Novella, the Greens of San Giovanni, and the Blues of Santa Croce. It’s a mix of football, rugby, boxing, and sweat, with centuries-old origins. Firenze Rocks – June 13 and 15
The most important and eagerly anticipated rock festival in Italy returns to the Visarno Arena (Ippodromo delle Cascine), on June 13 and 15. On the 24th, San Giovanni (Saint John the Baptist), the patron saint of the city, is celebrated with a much-loved firework display, which Florentines call i fochi! From 10pm to 11pm, the embankments of the Arno fill up with people gazing at the spectacular display at Piazzale Michelangelo.
