On December 7 Florence Lights Up will come to life, the festival of lights that lights up the monuments and squares of the city. Ponte Vecchio, one of the most iconic symbols of Florence, is transformed into a luminous canvas thanks to video-mapping, which will offer a completely original way of observing this historic place. Palazzo Vecchio and the church of San Paolino will also be protagonists of artistic projections that tell the themes and values of the #EnjoyRespectFirenze campaign, raising awareness of heritage protection and a more informed visit to the city.

Instead, the classic lighting of the Christmas trees is set for Sunday 8th (6pm Piazza Duomo, 6.30pm Piazza della Repubblica, 7.30pm Piazzale Michelangelo).
