What you will find

The estate is located within the smaller Tuscan DOCG: the Carmignano. It includes a charming sixteenth-century Medici Villa with the rose garden, all immersed in a breathtaking landscape among the vineyards and olive groves, up to the Dome of Florence Cathedral with Giotto's bell tower.

COOKING CLASS

Here is the program of the day:

  • 9:30 – Buongiorno! Meet Mara the hospitality manager of Capezzana Estate or Alessandra for welcome refreshments.
  • 10:30 – Time to meet the Contini Bonacossi family chef of the last 29 years, Patrizio Cirri. Following a run through of the day’s menu you’ll visit our organic vegetable garden to pick the ingredients, then back to the kitchen for a morning of cooking where you will learn how to prepare typical Tuscan dishes. The class is as “hands – on” as you like, working through a seasonal menu consisting of antipasti, starter (primi), main course (secondo), side dish (contorno) and dessert (dolce).
  • 13:00 – Lunch– following aperitifs in the kitchen, lunch will be with family members and served alongside some of the estates wines.
  • 14:30 – Tour – we will show you around our ancient wine cellars and give an introduction into the history of Capezzana winery and wine making processes.

The day usually finishes around 16:00.
