THE TERRITORY
This path takes place in the west, downstream of Florence, on the right and left bank of the Arno, between the Indian Bridge and the Ponte alla Vittoria, through two large parks: the historical one and monumental - of the Cascine and the more recent one - of the Argingrosso, which together form a fundamental part of the system of the Arno Metropolitan Park, nearing completion. It can be extended - thanks to the connected routes - to the villages of Peretola, Quaracchi and Brozzi (on the right bank) and to those of Mantignano, Ugnano, San Bartolo a Cintoia, Santa Maria a Cintoia and the Towers on the left bank, winding in what was once (and in part still is) the fertile countryside of the plain, made up of vegetable gardens, orchards, arable fields, old farmhouses...
