EVENT DESCRIPTION

PLEASE NOTE: due to municipal elections, this year's semifinals tournament will take place on June 1st and 2nd and the final on June 15th.

A truly characteristic event of the city in which the four teams of the historic districts compete against each other: the whites of Santo Spirito, the reds of Santa Maria Novella, the greens of San Giovanni and the Azzurri of Santa Croce. Each year a total of three games are played, two semifinals and the final on 15 June, instead of June 24th on the occasion of the feast of the patron saint of the city of San Giovanni, preceded by the Historical Parade of the Florentine Republic, with flag-wavers and musicians.

The meetings are decided on the basis of the draw that takes place on Easter day on the occasion of the Explosion of the Cart. h. 15.00.

The Historical Parade of the Florentine Republic starts from Piazza Santa Maria Novella passing through Via dei Banchi, Via Rondinelli, Via Tornabuoni, Via Strozzi, Piazza della Repubblica, Via degli Speziale, Via Calzaiuoli, Piazza della Signoria, Via della Ninna, Via de 'Neri, Borgo Santa Croce to Piazza Santa Croce. h. 17.00
