Description
The tour starts in SS. Annunziata square where the moving story of “The lover at the window” took place.
Then you move to the religious hearth of Florence which was the setting of a love story that had a happy ending.
You will reach the Medieval district of Florence where, among old towers and narrow alleys, the guide will make you feel the real atmosphere of that time. You will see the place where Dante Alighieri was born, lived and met his beloved Beatrice.
In Signoria square you will be involved in the life of the Medici family and you will be fascinated by tales of plots, planned marriages and tragic love stories.
Through the Uffizi court yard you will reach Ponte Vecchio ( the Old Bridge), one of the symbols of Florence and a very romantic place. In addition to the history of the bridge the guide will tell you the love “incident” that caused the war between the Buondelmonti and Amidei families.
The tour will end in Pitti square where important dynastic families lived such as the Pitti, the Medici, the Hapsburg-Lorraine and the Savoia.
