The Florence Queer Festival is the most important Tuscan festival dedicated to Queer culture (gay, lesbian, transgender, ... and not only), organized by the IREOS association of Florence The festival has grown to become one of the most followed on the scene Fiorentina and one of the most important Italian LGBT festivals.
The Festival is ready to celebrate its 22 years within the Cinema La Compagnia in Florence, from November 27 to December 1st. The festival will continue to offer feature films. short films, book presentations, exhibitions and panels in which not only the history of the LGBTQIA + movement will be central, but also the commitment of volunteers of the Association, who will see the festival as a showcase for the issues they deal with throughout the year.
Among the guests of this edition: Geraldine Ottier, director of the feature film "I am nobody" (29/11) for the first time; Nicola Bellucci, director of “Quir” (30/11); Markus Stein, who made the documentary “Baldiga - Unlocked Heart” (1/12); Gaël Morel, director of the opening film “Vivre, morir reinatre” (27/11) and finally Valentina Petrillo, transgender athlete, protagonist of the documentary “5 nanomoli” by Elisa Mereghetti and Marco Mensa (28/11).
