A private guided walk in the iconic points of Florentine fashion: Gucci Museum, Ferragamo Museum and much more. Aperitif included!
ITINERARY / DESCRIPTION
Florence is a city of beauty, elegance and creativity, so it is not surprising to also find great examples of fashion. Since 1951, the year of the first Pitti fashion show, Florence has been the home of stylists like Gucci, Cavalli, Ferragamo and many others, thus creating the history of fashion and starting the Made in Italy concept. The itinerary is led by guides specialized in art, fashion and traditions who, using the city as a stage, will walk you back in time to discover the scents and flavors of an unmistakable Florentine style.
The visit begins in Santa Maria Novella, where we will visit the ancient apothecary and talk about a specific Queen of France, her story, her perfume and the recipes that went from Florence to France with her which are still being discussed. We will then reach on foot Via Tornabuoni, Florence's high end historical fashion street that today boasts renowned shops and boutiques. We will talk about important names and, while recounting stories of fabric, jewels and devious plots among merchants, we will reach Palazzo Spini Ferroni and discover the incredible life of the trendsetter Salvatore Ferragamo.
After visiting the museum we will continue to piazza della Signoria with a mandatory stop at Angela Caputi's and finally the Gucci museum where we will admire the maison historic collection. The tour will end with a nice aperitif surrounded by the Florentine “in” crowd.
