For a journey through time through historical model making, the Historical Figurine Museum of Calenzano is an unmissable stop during your visit to the surroundings of Florence. From toy soldiers to model figures, this is the evolution that is told in the showcases of the MuFiS museum collection, located in a diachronic journey supported by 1:1 scale reproductions of ancient instruments and objects; the presence of war artefacts from the First and Second World Wars will help you to better understand the small features rendered by the model makers on the figures present in the exhibition rooms.

The MuFiS-Museo del Figurino Storico allows you to discover aspects of civilizations and characters of the past through the world of sketches. With the help of the museum operator you will hide in history and remain fascinated by it, it will be possible to try on shields, helmets and swords to understand the world of medieval knights and go back in time, climb the castle tower enjoying the view over the entire Florentine plain and visit the fifteenth-century Altana room. It will be possible to continue the visit to the fortified complex of Calenzano along the streets of the village, also discovering the history of our territory among fields of olive trees, medieval towers and Renaissance villas.
