E fu sera e fu mattina - Palazzo Medici Riccardi, Florence

What you will find

EVENT NAME: And it was evening and it was morning: Nature in the shots of Valter Bernardeschi
EVENT PLACE: Palazzo Medici Riccardi
EVENT DATE: from 5 September to 7 January 2025.

EVENT DESCRIPTION:

The shots of the Tuscan photographer, already winner of the Wildlife Photographer of the Year at the Natural History Museum in London, capture the essence of life on Earth, inviting visitors to reflect on their relationship with the environment and to rediscover the wonder and mystery that our planet offers.

“And it was evening and it was morning” is not just a photographic exhibition, but a real visual journey that crosses the most remote and fascinating places on our planet. Valter Bernardeschi's photographs are vibrant testimonies of natural life, captured with a rare sensitivity and impeccable technique. Each image tells a story, revealing the majesty and vulnerability of nature in all its complexity.

Among the works on display, images of pristine landscapes stand out, where light plays a fundamental role in defining shapes and colours, creating atmospheres suspended between dream and reality. Visitors will be able to admire the grandeur of a grizzly bear intent on fishing for salmon in a North American river, a symbol of strength and perseverance, but also of an increasingly threatened natural balance. And again a white-tailed eagle gliding majestically over a crystalline sea, with the sky and water merging in a play of reflections that enhances the harmony of creation.
