To celebrate the Florentine New Year (March 25), from March 22 to 30 the Settimana del Fiorentino returns, the calendar of events promoted by the Municipality of Florence in collaboration with trade associations, cultural associations, Municipal Libraries, Florentine Civic Museums and MUS.E, natural shopping centers and many other city entities, to enhance Florentine traditions through a program dedicated to culture and customs, with guided tours, 'walks' to discover Florentine life, fairs and markets. The program is very rich!
Florentine New Year's Eve with the Artisans of Officina Creativa (Conventino Fuori le Mura):
- 3:30-8:00 pm: open shops and Slow Food companies with direct sales of zero-mile products
- 4:00 pm talk with Ornella Baratti Bon "The egg came first"
- 5:00 pm talk with Gian Marco Mazzanti "Cassetta di cottura" (Slow food community) [Ceramics room]
- 6:00 pm show cooking with Paolo Gori from the trattoria "Da Burde" [Ceramics room]
Also on the occasion of the Florentine New Year's Eve, the Natural Shopping Center of the Manifattura and Cascine Park is offering special initiatives on Saturday 29 and Sunday 30 March:
- Bottega Biologica celebrates the Florentine New Year with an exclusive blend: on the occasion of the Florentine New Year's Eve, Bottega Biologica presents Il Caffè del Fiorentino, a specialty blend created in collaboration with Caffelab to pay homage to the city's tradition. On Saturday 29th March, from 11am to 5pm, you can discover and taste this unique blend for free directly in the Bottega.
- Divine Estetica invites the little ones to a special workshop: On Saturday, March 29, Divine Estetica organizes È primavera, svegliatevi bambine, a free workshop dedicated to the youngest. An opportunity to receive a sweet manicure with colored nail polish, curated by Rossana, co-founder of Divine Estetica. Places are limited. Reservations at 3513201491.
- Bulli & Balene presents the Notte Viola cocktail: To celebrate the Florentine tradition, Bulli e Balene has created Notte Viola - Liquor Flor, an exclusive drink based on gin, lime juice and grapefruit soda, inspired by the symbol of Florence: the IRIS. Available during the weekend of March 29 and 30.
- Po'sto organizes the Florentine Brunch: On Sunday, March 30, Po'sto offers a special brunch inspired by the Florentine tradition: the Florentine Brunch. An exclusive menu designed for a journey through the authentic flavors of the city.
- Guided tour of the Caveau: On Saturday, March 29, come and discover the history and legacy of Manifattura Tabacchi with a guided tour of the Caveau, an exhibition space that houses a unique heritage.
