Its full name is the Tepidarium del Roster: this is a building brimming with charm, located inside the Horticulture Garden.
To get there, you’ll need to head a bit beyond the city center, going in the direction of Piazza della Libertà, which is about 20 minutes on foot from Santa Maria Novella station. Once you’re there, you can take a stroll through the walkways of the garden; in the middle of a field, you’ll see a refined Renaissance-style loggia, but what will primarily catch your attention is the imposing yet elegant glass and wrought-iron building.
It’s a Liberty-style greenhouse that takes its name from its designer and is a true local gem where cultural and social events frequently take place. If you happen to get lucky and it’s open when you stop by, step in and admire the architecture, which is truly extraordinary.
