After to enjoy the pleasant scenery from Piazzale Michelangelo, I suggest to visit San Miniato al Monte that you can reach taking the monumental staircase.

This church is of the charming and romantic place in Florence standing atop one of the highest points in the city. The five arches and the marble marquetry on the front of the church make this building one of the finest Romanesque structures in Tuscany and one of the most scenic churches in Italy. I suggest to visit also Palazzo Dei Vescovi near the church. This was the summer residence of the Florentine Bishps and the it was built under the supervision of Michelangelo around the middle of the XVI century. "
