Museums are divided into art, history, archaeology and specialised exhibitions dedicated to a single artist as well as museums which explore the traditional crafts and trades of the area.

You can find the single ticket for the MuDEV museums exclusively on Destination Florence!

Craftsmanship museums

These museums include the Ceramics Museum in Montelupo Fiorentino which looks at the work of local ceramists from the 14th to the 19th century. Also included is the Glass Museum in Empoli, exhibiting the typical green glass products of the area and telling the story of glasswork in the city from the late 19th through to the end of the 20th century. Other options are the Museum of Grapes and Wine in Montespertoli that examines the entire wine production cycle, from harvest to bottle, and the Nail Museum in Certaldo, with a collection of nails and works by the carpenter and artist Giancarlo Masini.
